Since we won our Union at Legacy Mt Hood Medical Center, our Food Service and Environmental Service managers have attempted to change our schedule, increased our workload, and cut hours or flex our shifts. Such actions not only undermine our ability to provide safe and effective patient care, but also creates an unsafe work environment for all staff.
The law requires management to maintain the status quo regarding wages, hours, and conditions of employment during ongoing contract negotiations. By making these unilateral changes, management is in violation of the law and committing an unfair labor practice.
We, the undersigned, are committed to providing safe patient care services that are up to the community standard. We urge management to maintain the same wages, hours, and conditions of employment until our first contract.
