PDX Shift Bid Survey
Under BAGS, shift bids were handled by putting all the full-time workers in one group, and then they would bid on shifts by seniority. Then, they would put all the part-time workers in a second group and have them bid on shifts by seniority.

How it Works
Under Menzies, and other companies at the airport, everyone is put in one group—not divided by part-time and full-time—and bid on shifts by seniority.

For future bids, what would you like to see?
I think during a shift bid all the full-time people should bid on full-time shifts and all the part-time people should bid on part-time shiftsI think everyone should be in one group that bids on shifts by seniority (the way it happened under Menzies)I don’t care, either way is fine
That you notify Menzies before the shift bid that you want to bid on full time work and are included in the full-time groupThat you have to wait until all the current full-time people complete their bid, even if you have more seniority then them, and then you get to bidThat you would need to wait until there is a permanent full-time opening and then you would be placed in that job based on seniority (meaning, that if multiple part-time people wanted the job, Menzies will award the job to the most senior)
