As Caregivers at Providence St. Vincent, we are at the front line of quality patient care. To recruit and retain the best caregivers at St. Vincent, we are demanding Providence management come to the bargaining table with dollars and not cents.
We support our bargaining demands for better pay that is much higher than 3%. We call on Providence management to come to bargaining with a serious wage proposal that includes:
- A union wage scale; with wage increases on our anniversary
- Annual guaranteed raises that are more than cover the high cost of living
- An end to caregivers “topping out” and not receiving raises
- A replacement to the inequitable and inadequate merit pay system
- Higher differentials that pay the same for all members of our union; no matter what our job
